The red chilli powder is made from various varieties like Sanam, Teja, Armor, Byadgi, etc. This powder are sun dried machine cleaned. Best on the variety and Grade, one will find difference in Aroma, Flavour, Pungency and Color.
Types:
Premium Grade: The premium grade red chilli powder usually has High Asta and SKH. It is bright red in color and has strong spiciness and aroma. Largely used in Indian culinary dishes.
Medium Grade: The medium grade red chilli powder usually has Lesser Asta compare to premium grade and medium SKH. It is medium red (little bright) in color and has strong spiciness and aroma. Largely used in Indian culinary dishes and hotels.
Industrial Grade: The Industrial grade red chilli powder usually has less Asta and SKH. It is yellowish/orange red in color and has coarse texture. The SKH levels are less and thus it is less spicy.
