Description
Fenugreek, known as Methi in India, is an ancient spice and medicinal herb valued for both flavor and wellness. The seeds are small, hard, and angular, usually yellowish-brown in color, measuring around 5 mm with a distinctive furrow. Used whole or ground into a dull yellow powder, roasted fenugreek gives food a warm, slightly bitter taste and a hay-like aroma.
Native to Asia and Southern Europe, fenugreek grows as a tender annual herb with trifoliate leaves and pea-like flowers, thriving in sunny, well-drained soil and releasing a natural sweetness when dried.
